Seven ALC students secure internships at premier institutions

Andhra Loyola College (ALC) congratulated seven students for securing internships at the country’s premier scientific institutions.

K. Mouna Rahini, a second-year B.Sc. Chemistry major student, has been selected for the Indian Academy of Sciences Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) and will pursue her two-month internship at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Md. Ismail, also from B.Sc. second-year, has been offered an internship under the same programme and will carry out his research at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai. Both the students will receive a fellowship of ₹25,000.

Research Director Fr. Prabhu said five more B.Sc. final year students — from Physics and Chemistry combinations— are undertaking a semester-long internship at IIT Jammu, at present. The students — Jerri Bala Murali, S. Jeevana Jyothi, Patan Eesub, Peram Saiprabhas and Boori Sai, have working as Research Assistants since December 2024, and will complete their internships by June 2025.

On this occasion, principal G.A.P. Kishore, vice-principal Prabhudas, and others congratulated the students on their achievements.
