A pregnant woman travelling by train no.07046 from Cherlapalli to Kishanganj experienced severe labour pain and delivered a baby in the S4 coach late on Sunday (April 13, 2025) night.

The Commercial Control team in Visakhapatnam provided immediate assistance to K. Jainab (31), who delivered the baby, and promptly attended to her and ensured safe delivery. Both the mother and newborn are safe according to a statement issued by the railways.

The mother and baby were handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for further medical care and transport.
