The Kozhikode City police on Tuesday arrested two Nepali citizens who allegedly manhandled a civil police officer (CPO) from the Elathur coastal station near the Kozhikode beach.

The arrested are Bishnu Kumar, 23, and Roopesh Kumar, 20. The police officer, Jubin, was allegedly attacked when he tried to collect details of the two when they were spotted in suspicious circumstances near Lion’s Park in Kozhikode. The two were taken into custody with the support of a police squad from the Vellayil station. They were later remanded in judicial custody.
